The Viennese Rainbow Ball will be holding for the 17th time in Park Hotel Schönbrunn on Saturday the 22nd of February 2014 under the motto “Love is in the Air” and this time too, it is poised to thrill over 1,500 lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered persons and heterosexuals in equal measure. Online advance ticket reservation for the coveted tickets will begin on Monday November 04, 2013 at 12:00 hrs midday.
The Viennese Rainbow Ball has not only gained a foothold as the most successful ball event in Austria, it has also acquired a reputation as the highlight of the ball season for the lesbian, gay and transgender community. The evening is basically about dignified entertainment in the classical sense of the Viennese ball tradition. At the same time however, the event also represents a significant manifestation of the lesbian-gay culture that is jointly experienced by all and sundry be they heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals or transgender.
In spite of or precisely because of its orientation towards the ideals of the Viennese ball tradition, the Rainbow Ball has succeeded in breaking the barrier of gender roles without caricaturing precisely these same roles. Free of societal norms and standards, men move around wearing evening gowns, women on tailcoats and vice-versa in the magnificent halls of Park Hotel Schönbrunn. It is a free-for-all scene for elegant styles! Men, women and everyone who feels at home between these two categories turn the Rainbow Ball into a multifaceted demonstration of different lifestyles and above all else, different styles of loving.
Tickets for the 17th Viennese Rainbow Ball can be bought comfortably through the Online Ticket Shop as from Monday, November 4, 2013.
Residual tickets can be bought on February 22, 2014 at the Box Office at EUR 57.00 (regular) or EUR 42.00 (reduced). HOSI Vienna advices the acquisition of entry tickets and place cards in good time.
