Das „Book of Memories“ wurde anlässlich der Welt- und Europa-Konferenz der ILGA (International Lesbian and Gay Association) 2008, die vom 30. Oktober bis 6. November in Wien stattfanden, eingerichtet, um den TeilnehmerInnen aus aller Welt die Möglichkeit zu geben, „ihrer“ Verstorbenen zu gedenken. Das „Book of Memories“ versteht sich also auch als wichtiger Beitrag zu diesen Konferenzen. Natürlich kann sich jede und jeder an diesem Online-Erinnerungsprojekt beteiligen, auch jetzt nach Ende der Tagungen. Wir freuen uns auf Ihren Erinnerungsbeitrag und bedanken uns ganz herzlich für die Mitabeit.
The “Book of Memories†was established on the occasion of the World and the European conferences of the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA), that took place in Vienna from 30 October to 6 November. Conference participants from all over the world were invited to commemorate their friends who have died of HIV/AIDS. The “Book of Memories†is considered to be an important contribution to the conferences. However, anyone can take part in this online memorial project, even now, after the closing of the conferences.
